The McPherson Board of Public Utilities delivers some of the lowest-cost and most reliable power and water in the State. However, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do as well as we do without our people. For this reason, we want to showcase those people who significantly impact our business and community with an “Employee Spotlight.”
On Wednesday, the 28th, it was announced that December’s Employee of the Month recipient was Trey Bagby. Trey is Mapping and Drafting Technician in the Electric Department. He has been employed with the BPU for four and a half years! Before becoming an official employee, Trey served as intern for a summer and in between semesters while he studied Construction Graphics at Fort Hays State University.
Trey grew up in Sterling, Kansas, however this opportunity brought him to McPherson. Outside of work, Trey enjoys working on his rental houses and travelling with his fiancé.
When asked what his favorite part about working at the BPU, he expressed that it is the people who he works with that make coming to work so much more enjoyable. “I really enjoy the people that I work with. It is a great place to work with great career opportunities”, stated Trey.
“Trey is a rising star at BPU and helps set the bar as a young professional within the utility industry. Trey is currently our Mapping and Drafting Technician where his skills are used to keep our utility assets organized and our crews productive by providing accurate, up-to-date mapping and outage information. Trey excels in this role all the while exhibiting a charismatic personality that carries over to his fellow coworkers. It’s a pleasure having someone as dedicated and independent as Trey on the BPU team.”- Stated Josh Bedel, GM
Thank you, Trey, we sincerely appreciate your dedication and service to the McPherson Board of Public Utilities.
