One of the qualities that enhances McPherson’s “curb appeal” is its abundance of beautiful trees. While most all agree that trees are great, tree contact with BPU power lines can cause power outages. For this reason, the BPU takes proactive measures to ensure electric reliability and safety for its customers by regularly pruning trees and other vegetation in or adjacent to the power line.
To help with this task the McPherson BPU has contracted Royers Tree Service out of Sterling Kansas. Royers started trimming on March 8, 2021 in the south west portion of town.
